Red Dead Redemption 2 PS5, Xbox Series X version may be in the works


Rockstar Games releases Red Dead Redemption 2 to rave reviews in 2018, quickly becoming one of the highest-rated video game releases of all time. Red Dead Redemption 2 was initially only available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but a year later, Rockstar brought the open-world epic to PC and Google Stadia. Now fans are wondering when Red Dead Redemption 2 could make its way to next-gen consoles, and while an official announcement hasn’t been made at the time of writing, one leaker believes it will happen at some point.

Leaker AccountNgt says that a next-gen version of Red Dead Redemption 2 It’s coming, but that’s all the information they have for now. As it stands, there are no native PS5 or Xbox Series X versions of the game. Red Dead Redemption 2 available, although playing the game on the latest hardware will result in better performance. The native versions, of course, would yield even greater results, which is why some fans want to see the game make the leap.

if Red Dead Redemption 2 receives a PS5 and Xbox Series X update as rumored, it may result in some controversy. After all, the latest generation versions of Grand Theft Auto 5 required fans to buy it, even if they already owned the older versions of the game, so it’s highly likely Rockstar will charge you for whatever. RDR2 next-generation update instead of giving it away for free, as other companies are known to do.


Another thing that could generate some controversy if such a project is announced is the current state of the Red Dead Online. Many fans criticized Rockstar Games for neglecting Red Dead Onlinewith the company focused on launching new content for Grand Theft Auto Online, a game that is almost 10 years old at this point. If Rockstar spends resources to port Red Dead Redemption 2 for PS5 and Xbox Series X instead of creating new content for RDOis likely to upset some community members.

Others, however, may take the opportunity to revive Red Dead Redemption 2 on newer hardware. The PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of the classic western game can provide superior graphics when compared to older versions of the game, not to mention better load times and maybe even some new content for fans to check out, depending on how ambitious it is. Of course, it is also possible that there are no plans to bring Red Dead Redemption 2 for next-gen consoles and so fans better keep their expectations in check.
