An Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim fan stumbles upon a bizarre glitch that makes it look like Rorikstead has multiple wires of electricity.
Since its launch in 2011, The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim established itself as one of the most renowned RPG games. Bethesda’s famous title has a huge fan base that spends hundreds of hours exploring the game’s expansive open world. Furthermore, Skyrim it takes a long time to complete due to the generous number of main and side quests in the game.
How players spend several hours playing Skyrim, it is natural that they encounter strange occurrences. Most of these bizarre incidents can be attributed to crashes, which have been a persistent problem for Skyrim fans. These bugs often cause NPCs to defy physics, such as a Skyrim glitch shows one NPC swimming in the air and another one causes NPCs to spin randomly before flying into the sky.
Other The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim player took it a step further, sharing his strange experience while playing the game. Reddit user Common-Independent-9 was exploring the Rorikstead region when he came across something quite peculiar that doesn’t fit into the fantasy setting of Skyrim. The user uploaded an image of what appears to be modern power lines running through Rorikstead. The image is captured during the night in the game and shows four of these so-called electrical wires running over a small house. As expected, the Reddit community was amused by this, and many added humorous comments, most of which centered around these threads being in some way related to fast travel.
For those who don’t know, Rorikstead is one of the many establishments in Skyrim. It lies in Whiterun Hold near the western border adjacent to The Reach and is a relatively small settlement that contains a couple of cottages, an inn, and a mansion. In addition to these, Rorikstead also has two farms, one of which is managed by Ennis and Reldith, while Lemkil manages the other with the help of his two daughters. Speaking of Lemkil, he is considered a secretly evil character in Skyrim due to his questionable parenting techniques. If players are vigilant, they can witness Lemkil physically berating either of his two daughters.
Rorikstead is one of numerous establishments located on Whiterun Hold, the largest of all nine in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. In addition to covering the most significant area and Rorikstead, Whiterun Hold is famous for containing some exciting unmarked locations in Skyrim that do not appear on the map. These include the Wispmother Well, an ancient structure consisting of two pillars and, most notably, a dead body of an enormous crustacean.
The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
