DRS temporarily unavailable during CSK vs MI at Wankhede Stadium because of powercut

The Decision Review System (DRS) was temporarily unavailable on Thursday during the Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at Wankhede Stadium due to a power cut in Mumbai.

After a lengthy delivery took shape at Devon Conway and hitting his pads, there was an appeal of confidence from MI players. Non-striker Ruturaj Gaekwad insisted the New Zealand batsman go upstairs despite the umpire raising his finger.

However, the umpire had to report to him technical difficulties which forced Conway to walk for a long time.

The system was restored after 1.4 overs after Chennai missed a second chance to review Robin Uthappa’s leg-before out.
