That’s the little question Evil Dead: The Game The purpose was to play with friends. Of course, single missions can be challenging and single-player modes can be fun, but the ride is just as bumpy as a team of survivors playing together.
But playing together can be a little confusing and usually some problems have to be solved with friends before surviving (or leading) a deadly attack. With a few clicks and some knowledge Evil Dead: The GameWith its settings, players can set up to enter battle as a unit in short order.
Enable crossplay
- Settings> Crossplay> Crossplay (checked)
- Enable crossplay on console
If players use a mix of consoles, each participant must enable crossplay for the game. Even if a player is not able to do this, they will not be able to join a group that has a mix of console gamers. Go to Settings and make sure everyone clicks on the box to check it.
It is possible to do this correctly and still not be able to play together due to console settings. This will vary by console, but the general idea is to go to console settings and change the crossplay from “block” to “permission”. This could be a problem for crossplay resistance in other games as well.
Complete the tutorial
Every player who wants to get a part of the lobby has to complete the tutorial before going into the initial action. This is probably the culprit if they are not visible on the screen when trying to add players. The tutorial is not enough for the game host, all participants have to do it too.
Fortunately, it doesn’t take long for it to burn through, even for first-timers in style. And, for a team surviving, they only have to play the survivor part of the tutorial (although it’s a good idea to play the deadline part to understand what opponents can and can’t do).
Making the game
After all, it’s time to form a team! Click on “Party Invites” or “Friends” to watch the social menu (on the first screen) and a list of friends available to toss an invitation. If they follow the steps above, their name should appear and be ready to go!
This process takes over the players already friends. If players aren’t officially friends (and this can happen across platforms), click “Search” below and type the username. Next time connect with their friends for easy access and invite them over. Have a groovy time!
