Lots of items, weapons, and armor Alden Ring Ordinary quests can be found or retrieved from Boss or Questline but there are a number of items hidden among enemies that drop down to ridiculously low rates, meaning players can complete a complete playthrough without looking at specific weapons or armor. A good example of this is the Longhaft Ax, a weapon that can only be dropped by an ax-powered Misbegten at a very low rate of two percent.
Fortunately, there is a way for players to increase their chances of getting certain drops and to bring those offensively low drop rates to something more manageable. Discovery status is directly related to how “lucky” players can be when cultivating for a drop and there are ways for players to increase this status. Players who increase their level in Arcane will naturally increase their Discovery stat, but those who are not specified in the statline can increase their Discovery in other ways. A particularly good method is to use silver scarab amulets, which will enhance the discovery a bit. Here’s how players can find the Silver Scarab amulet Alden Ring.
How to find Silver Scarab Amulet in Alden Ring
The Silver Scarf isn’t particularly hard to find if players know where to look, but it’s easily one of the most frustratingly hidden items in the entire Lands Between. This is because the Silver Scarab amulet is found through an invisible path, in an area that most players never think of seeing. Only those who accidentally stumble upon this path, or master the Souls-based quest will find the Silver Scarb without help.
To locate the amulet, players must first gain access to a secret hidden area that is accessed by offering a secret medal at Roald’s Grand Lift. The Secret Haligtree can be obtained by finding and combining the two halves of the medallion, which is hidden throughout the Lands Between. One is fairly easy to reach, at the Lurunia of the Lakes, but for the other the players have to climb to the top of the Giants’ hill and face one of the toughest bosses in the game. Those who are struggling to find and break the Secret Hall of Fame Medellin can follow this simple guide.
Once the players have access Secret Haligtree Medallion, They have to travel in Rold’s Grand Lift and change to Medellin via a button prompt before lifting it up. Once done, players will find themselves in a new area that looks a lot like crypt. By traveling the front path, climbing a large staircase and through a tunnel, players can find hidden paths to Grace’s Haligtree site. It is recommended that players rush to this site of Grace as there are several annoying and powerful enemies in this area. Once there, players will have to climb down the stairs and back to the big chamber where the Giant Land Octopus falls from the ceiling.
Running alongside this creature, down the stairs to the round-style platform below, players will see a portion of the stone railing on the right. Just by walking from the edge created by this opening, they will fall into an invisible path below. Straight ahead there will be an archway where players can run, a hallway that will go to the right, and a Ghost Glowart. There is an invisible wall behind this Ghost Glovert, which players have to wait for the end to open a hidden path with the chest. Silver Scarab amulet is inside this chest.
What does Silver Scarab Amulet do?
The Silver Scarab Talisman is a very straightforward accessory that will increase a player’s Discovery Status by 75. This is a huge boost, and players can easily equip this item when trying to create a specific weapon or armor. It will also stack up with other Discovery Boosting Items, such as the Arcane-Boosting Item and the Silver-Pickled Fowl Foot. Just using the Silver Scrab amulet is enough to increase the chances of players finding a certain item in sufficient quantity.
